604　shadow和shade

① shadow意為“影子，陰影”。

The chair cast a shadow on the wall. 椅子的影子映到墻上了。

Her face was in deep shadow. 她的臉部在一片很暗的陰影中。

② shade意為“遮陰處”。

The trees make a nice shade against the sun. 樹(shù)木擋住了太陽(yáng)，遮陰很好。

I took a rest in the shade of the tree. 我在樹(shù)蔭下休息一下。
