The melancholy days are come，the saddest of the year,

陰郁的日子將來(lái)臨，這終年最悲傷的時(shí)光，

Of wailing winds, and naked woods, and meadows brown and sear.

狂風(fēng)怒吼，樹林凋敝，牧場(chǎng)焦黃如燃。

Heaped in the hollows of the grove, the withered leaves lie dead;

成堆的枯葉在林間洼地，靜臥凋亡，

They rustle to the eddying gust, and to the rabbit's tread.

沙沙作響于狂風(fēng)的逐旋，兔子的踏踐。

The robin and the wren are flown, and from the shrubs the jay,

知更鳥和鷦鷯已飛遠(yuǎn)，陰沉的一整天

And from the wood-top calls the crow, through all the gloomy day.

灌木飛出松鴉，烏鴉在樹冠上叫喚。

Where are the flowers, the fair young flowers, that lately sprang and stood.

花兒在哪里，年輕美麗的花朵，婷婷玉立于新近的綻放。

In brighter light and softer airs, beauteous sisterhood?

哪里有明媚陽(yáng)光和柔和氣氛里的美麗姐妹情緣?

Alas! They all are in their graves, the gentle race of flowers

唉!溫順的花兒，她們現(xiàn)正躺在自己的墳塋，

Are lying in their lowly beds, with the fair and good of ours.

帶著我們稱道的美麗和善良，低臥土床板。

The rain is falling where they lie, but the cold November rain

雨絲落在它們身上，但寒冷的暮秋之雨

Calls not, from out the gloomy earth, the lovely ones again

從陰郁的大地，再也喚不出可愛(ài)的紅顏

詩(shī)人簡(jiǎn)介：

威廉·柯倫·布賴恩特 William Cullen Bryant(1794～1878)，是著名的美國(guó)首位抒情詩(shī)人。他自幼喜愛(ài)詩(shī)歌，博覽莎士比亞、彌爾頓和 蒲伯等英國(guó)詩(shī)人的作品。十三歲時(shí)曾寫了諷刺詩(shī)《禁運(yùn)》，十六歲時(shí)創(chuàng)作了《對(duì)死亡的冥想》。其后，又創(chuàng)作了大量?jī)?yōu)美的詩(shī)歌，自然風(fēng)物在他的詩(shī)中顯得和諧而柔美，靜謐而有節(jié)制，反映了他在那個(gè)時(shí)代所追求的理想。正是這些特點(diǎn)，使他成為美國(guó)的第一位浪漫主義詩(shī)人，而且也是獲得世界聲譽(yù)的第一位美國(guó)作家。
