"Thanks" and "Thank you" are the two most common expressions: “thanks"和"thank you"是最常用的兩種感謝方式

"Thanks" is more colloquial than "thank you": “thanks”比“thank you”更口語一點

Some people might be afraid to just say "thanks" because they don't think it's enough: 有些人怕說“thanks”,因為覺得不夠

But native speakers say "thanks" all the time, especially with friends or coworkers, people they know: 但是母語者常說“thanks", 特別是和朋友、同事這樣的熟人

Trust Adam; it's enough, at least for small matters: 相信Adam,日常小事,說“Thanks“就夠了

什么時候用"Thank you"?

"Thank you" is a bit more formal: "Thank you"更正式一點

When do you use "thank you"? 什么時候用呢?

1. On the phone, e.g. with customer support, reception: 打電話的時候, 比如客服啦、總機

2. If you ask someone to run an errand for you: 如果你麻煩別人幫你出去辦事、跑腿

3. When someone you don't know or don't know very well helped you: 如果是你不認識或不熟的人幫你

英語最常用的"謝謝"說法

英語常說“感激”

One word that's not often used in Chinese but frequently used in English is "appreciate": 有一個詞中文里不常用,但英語里卻很常用: "appreciate" (感激)

"感激" is for really big, life-changing, life-saving help in Chinese: 中文里用“感激”,通常是特別大的,改變?nèi)松蛘呔让?/p>

But in English, "appreciate" is commonly used. It doesn't have to be life-changing, life-saving events: 但是英語里,"appreciate"這個詞日常很常用,不一定是很大的事、救命之恩

好老板、好員工都常說“Appreciate it”

You can use it to replace "thank you very much": 可以用來代替"thank you very much"

It sounds more natural: 聽起來更自然

It's used a lot at work: 工作中很常用

比如:

"Thanks, I appreciate it" or "I appreciate your help"

It's used a lot at work, especially if you're talking to your superior, using "appreciate" is more polite and respectful: 工作中和上級用很好,可以表達尊重

It's also a good way for the manager to express appreciation for their employees: 上級對下級用也很好,表示你尊重員工的工作

Especially when you're making requests, giving deadlines: 特別是提要求、 追進度的時候

“Thanks a million”: 一百萬個感謝

"Thanks a bunch": 一大串感謝

These two expressions are both very colloquial ways of thanking someone: 這兩個說法都是特別口語、特別地道的表達感謝的方式

They are great to use with freinds and coworkers: 日常和朋友、同事用都很好

說“Thanks a lot”一定要注意語氣哦!

“Thanks a lot" is also common: “Thanks a lot"也很常用

But be cautious of your tone of voice:但是一定要注意語氣

"Thanks a lot" since it has the potential to sound sarcastic and mean "Thanks for nothing": 說“Thanks a lot”時要特別注意語調(diào),因為他可能帶諷刺的感覺

“沒出汗”=“別客氣”?

How do you reply to a “thank you”? 怎么回應“thank you"?

"You're welcome": 最常用的當然是"you're welcome"

"No problem", "No worries":"No problem", "No worries"更口語,澳洲人特別愛說"no worries"

"Don't mention it": 別提,別那么客氣

"No sweat", "It's no sweat": ”沒出汗“,幫了個小忙,一點兒汗都沒出 ;意思就是別客氣
