Fateful (形容詞)

On that fateful day, you walked into my life: 命運(yùn)的安排，那一天你走入了我的生活

On that fateful day, I received a special phone call: 命運(yùn)的安排，我收到了一個(gè)特別的電話

#2.Destiny

Destiny (名詞): 命運(yùn)、緣分

Destined (形容詞)

Destiny和fate的意思很像。但是用法上有些區(qū)別：

My fate is in your hands: 我的命運(yùn)掌握在你手上 (判決、審判)

You're my destiny: 你是我命中注定的人 (浪漫)

This is my destiny: 這注定是我的命運(yùn) (人生、事業(yè))

Serendipitous (形容詞)

Serendipity這個(gè)詞更強(qiáng)調(diào)偶然性：

這個(gè)用法不局限于浪漫的偶遇。

Serendipity was also the name of a romantic comedy: 多年前的一部浪漫喜劇，就叫“緣分天注定”

It's also the name of a diner in New York famous for its ice cream sundae and banana split: 紐約有一家著名的小餐館也叫Serendipity，冰淇淋圣代和香蕉船特別有名

朋友間的緣份，不太用到上述說(shuō)的fate, destiny這些詞;
