為什么不禮貌?

It's too harsh and direct: 太嚴(yán)厲、太直接了

Talking down to people: 語氣居高臨下

如果一定要問，記得：

Watch your tone: 注意語氣語調(diào)

Context: 一定要有個(gè)上下文，不要沒頭沒腦地就問。

“你明白嗎?”怎么禮貌表達(dá)?

如果想詢問對(duì)方是否明白自己的意思，有很多禮貌說法。

1.Polite & non-confrontational: 禮貌不會(huì)引起反感的說法

"Am I making sense?" 我說清楚了嗎?

"Am I explaining this clearly?" 我解釋明白了嗎?

這兩種說法之所以特別禮貌，是因?yàn)樗鼈儼沿?zé)任放在了自己這一方:

They focus on yourself & the topic rather than on the listener

2.Polite & non-confrontational: 禮貌不會(huì)引起反感的說法

"Does that make sense [to you]?" 你明白剛才說的事了嗎?

這個(gè)說法和上一個(gè)的不同之處在于：

The focus is on the listener. 關(guān)注點(diǎn)在于聽的人。

使用這句話，常常不是問我的英語你聽懂了嗎，而是在問我說的事你理解了嗎?

怎么回答：

That makes perfect sense to me.

3.Informal & non-confrontational: 不那么正式但不會(huì)引起反感的說法

"Did you get/catch all that?" 你明白了嗎?

"Are we on the same page?" 我們想法一致嗎?

使用這些表達(dá)的時(shí)候還是要注意語氣。

The tone is really important.

在第一句中，did不是用來表達(dá)過去時(shí)，而是起到軟化語氣的作用。

Are we on the same page? 常常也不是用來表達(dá)你聽懂了英語嗎，而是指需要兩個(gè)人同意某個(gè)事，對(duì)方是不是能理解。工作場(chǎng)合常常用到。

4.Depends on volume/tone of voice: 取決于語氣和音量的用法

"Is that clear?" 清楚了嗎?

"Are we understanding each other?" 我們彼此都明白對(duì)方的想法了嗎? (this is kind of passive-aggressive)

"You feel me?" 你能理解我嗎?男性之間會(huì)用的，你能理解嗎

"Capische?" 你懂?(Italian - sounds ridiculous in English conversation unless you're actually in the mafia, or saying it ironically/sarcastically).

怎么用：

Is that clear? 很直接。It's usually used from the top to the bottom. 上級(jí)對(duì)下級(jí)。

Are we understanding each other? 會(huì)用這種表達(dá)的常常是一個(gè)passive-aggressive(被動(dòng)型攻擊)的人。不直接卻又喜歡挑事。

You feel me? 男性間常常會(huì)用，有點(diǎn)想馬景濤的那張meme圖“你能不能理解我啊?”

Capisce? 這是個(gè)意大利語，源于黑手黨影片。聽起來有點(diǎn)像威脅，又有點(diǎn)俏皮。

5.More common when angry: 生氣的時(shí)候會(huì)用的表達(dá)

"Am I making myself clear?" 我說得夠清楚了吧?

"Are we clear?" 我們都明白?

"You got me?" 你聽懂我的話了吧?

"You hear me?" 你聽到我說的了吧?

這些表達(dá)都非常不客氣，如果你的確很生氣，可以用這些質(zhì)問!

6.Colloquial interjections: 口語化的嘆詞 where you don't really care if they understand but throw this into the conversation periodically - these tend to vary by region & ethnic stereotypes:

"See?" 明白?

"You know what I'm saying?"你懂我的話對(duì)吧? (Mashed together sounds like "Know-um-sayn"/"numSayn"?)

"Right?" "Y'know?" 對(duì)嗎?你懂的，對(duì)嗎? This is younger & more typically feminine.

"Catch my drift?" 懂的我意思吧?

特點(diǎn)：

These tend to vary by region & ethnic stereotypes. 用于特定地區(qū)或族群。

怎么用：

See?比較廣泛，但很不正式。

You know what I'm saying? 這個(gè)表達(dá)常被簡(jiǎn)化為"Know-um-sayn"/"numSayn"?(請(qǐng)戳音頻聽發(fā)音)

"Right?" "Y'know?" 常為年輕人或者女性使用

"Catch my drift?" 常用來八卦閑聊，說一些不正式的事情是會(huì)用到。
