杰夫的一天 第98期：休息 郵件和垃圾(1)

With the dinner dishes done, my wife and I each sit down on the couch to chill out and watch the national news which comes on at 6:30. 由于晚餐餐具洗好擦干了，我和我妻子坐在沙發(fā)上歇息，并觀看6:30開播的國內(nèi)新聞。

During the newscast, I sort through the day's mail. 新聞播送期間，我整理了一下白天的郵件。

Most of it is junk mail and bills. 其中大部分都是垃圾郵件和賬單。

There are also several fliers for houses for sale in the area. 還有一些該區(qū)域的售房傳單。

I check the front stoop and see that there are no packages. 我查看了一下房子前面的門廊發(fā)現(xiàn)沒有包裹。

I like to watch TV and my wife likes to watch reality shows. 我喜歡看電視，我妻子喜歡看真人秀節(jié)目。

One thing I hate is having to watch all of the commercials, so I turn the sound down when they come on. 我討厭的一件事就是要看那些廣告，所以當(dāng)它們出現(xiàn)時(shí)我便把音量調(diào)小。

After the show is over, I thumb through the latest issue of the Atlantic Monthly, while my wife reads a novel by her favorite mystery writer. 節(jié)目結(jié)束之后，我翻看最新一期的《大西洋月刊》，而我妻子讀她最喜歡的推理作家的小說。

At around 9, I remember that tomorrow is trash day, so I take the kitchen garbage out and dump the recycling bins as well. 9點(diǎn)左右，我想起了明天是倒垃圾的日子，因此我把廚房垃圾拿出去并倒掉回收箱。

I roll the trash container out to the street ready for the garbage trucks, which come by early in the morning. 我把垃圾箱推到了大街上，好讓一大早來的垃圾車?yán)摺?/p>
