在國(guó)外“問(wèn)路”時(shí)，要怎么開(kāi)口呢?簡(jiǎn)明又禮貌的描述你的目的地：

游客A: Excuse me sir, is Plaza Mall down this street? According to my map, it should be right here.
先生打擾一下，請(qǐng)問(wèn)廣場(chǎng)購(gòu)物中心是在這條街上嗎?我看地圖，應(yīng)該就在這里。
路人B: You got the wrong street. Plaza Mall is still a couple blocks down.
你走錯(cuò)街道了。廣場(chǎng)購(gòu)物中心還要往前走幾個(gè)街區(qū)。
Down the street
在這條街上
通常down和along比較像，指“沿著這條街”，所以當(dāng)說(shuō)down the street時(shí)，一般就是指“面朝”或“手指”的方向。
舉兩個(gè)例子：
① It's ok. I can walk. My hostel is down the street.
沒(méi)關(guān)系，我可以走路過(guò)去。我住的青旅就在這條街上。
② There's a pharmacy down the street from where I'm staying.
我住的地方那條街上有一家藥店。
 

 

 

我們不僅會(huì)“問(wèn)路”，還要能聽(tīng)懂對(duì)方的“指路”，尤其是當(dāng)我們走錯(cuò)路時(shí)：

舉兩個(gè)例子：
① I must have gotten the wrong address because there's no bars near me.
我肯定是把地址搞錯(cuò)了，因?yàn)槲腋浇鼪](méi)有酒吧。
② You got the wrong place. This is the bookstore we went to last time.
你走錯(cuò)地方了。這是我們上次去的那家書(shū)店。
A couple blocks down
再過(guò)幾個(gè)街區(qū)
這里的down就是：指路人“手指”或“面朝”的方向啦。
國(guó)外的blocks(街區(qū))之間通常是由比較寬的馬路隔開(kāi)。
舉幾個(gè)例子：
① We're close. The Museum of Modern Art is just a couple blocks down.
我們快到了。再走幾個(gè)街區(qū)就到現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)博物館了。
② The campus is still a couple blocks down. If you're tired, we can take the bus.
還有幾個(gè)街區(qū)才到校園。如果你累了，我們可以做公交車(chē)。
