高中語(yǔ)法專練：will would

1. will的基本用法：

1）構(gòu)成將來(lái)時(shí)態(tài)，表示未來(lái)的動(dòng)作。

It looks as if Jack won't be in time for the train.

看上去好像杰克不能及時(shí)趕上火車了。

2）用于第二人稱疑問句表示請(qǐng)求。

Will you help me to carry the box to the upstairs?

你能幫助我把箱子搬到樓上嗎？

3）用于各個(gè)人稱，表示意愿、決心或意志。

We will never talk about the subject again.

我們絕不再談?wù)撃莻€(gè)主題。

2. will在應(yīng)用中需注意的問題：

1）表示習(xí)慣、傾向和決心，意為“總是，老是，一定要”。

Some birds will fly away to the south when the weather turns cold.

有些鳥天氣變冷時(shí)就飛向南方。

2）表示規(guī)律，此時(shí)will do可直接用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)代替。

Light (will run) runs faster than sound.

光比聲傳播的快。

3）表示推測(cè)，猜測(cè)，意為“想必是，一定是”。

It will be snowing now in London.

倫敦現(xiàn)在想必一定在下雪。

4）用于條件句中表示意愿或者禮貌的請(qǐng)求。

If you will help me, we can finish early.

如果你愿意幫助我，我們就能早一點(diǎn)完成。

5）won't用于無(wú)生命體，表示擬人化的“意愿”。

The door won't open.

這個(gè)門打不開。

If your car won't start, call me any time and I'll help.

如果你的車不能啟動(dòng)，可隨時(shí)給我打電話，我會(huì)提供幫助的。

6）用在祈使句的反意疑問句中。

—Alice, you feed the bird today, will you ?

—But I fed it yesterday.

——愛麗絲，今天你喂鳥，好嗎？

——可是我昨天已經(jīng)喂過了。

7）表示命令、叮囑、規(guī)定，意為“必須，一定要”。

No one will leave the examination room before the bell rings.

鈴響之前任何人不能離開考場(chǎng)。

3. would的基本用法：

1）構(gòu)成過去將來(lái)時(shí)。

She said that she would go there the next day.

她說(shuō)第二天就去那里。

2）表示過去習(xí)慣性的動(dòng)作（只表示對(duì)過去的回憶，不與現(xiàn)在對(duì)比，而used to則表示與現(xiàn)在對(duì)比而言，過去常做某事，現(xiàn)在不做此事）。

We would stay up all night talking about our favourite singer.

我們過去常常熬夜到很晚談?wù)撐覀冏钕矚g的歌唱家。

3）用于虛擬語(yǔ)氣中的主句中。

If I were you, I would try another time.

若我是你，我就再試一次。

4. would在應(yīng)用中需注意的問題：

1）Would you ...?表示有禮貌的請(qǐng)求。

Would you be so kind as to do me a favour?

請(qǐng)你幫我一把好嗎？

2）would like sth./to do sth.意為“想做某事”。

I'd like to invite you to have dinner at my flat before I move.

我想在我搬家前請(qǐng)你來(lái)我公寓吃晚飯。

3）would rather do sth.意為“寧愿做某事”。

He said he would rather not do it right now.

他說(shuō)他不愿意立刻做此事。

4）would rather sb. did sth.意為“寧愿讓某人做某事”。

I would rather you knew that now, than afterwards.

我寧愿你現(xiàn)在就知道此事，而不是以后。

5）would rather do sth. than do sth. else意為“寧愿做某事也不愿做另一件事”。

He would rather die than give in .

他寧死不屈。

6）would prefer to do sth. rather than do sth.意為“更愿意做某事而不愿意做另一件事”。

He would prefer to swim rather than play football .

他更愿意去游泳也不愿意去踢足球。
