We are studying sentences. They contain adjective clauses.
同樣道理，我們用which代替they，來指代sentences，告訴對方我們正在學習什么類型的句子。

which可以指代由單個名詞或代詞構(gòu)成的先行詞：
a. Anger is a wind which blows out the lamp of the mind.
憤怒是吹滅心靈之燈的風。
b. Perhaps it is human to appreciate little that which we have and to long for that which we have not.
或許，“不惜已獲，貪求不得” 是人類的共同弱點吧。（先行詞是that，which指代單個代詞。）
which可以指代一個短語：
c. He likes climbing mountains, which is a good exercise. （先行詞是主句的一部分climbing mountains）
which還可以指代前面整個主句：
d. Tom was late, which surprised me.
湯姆遲到了，這讓我很吃驚。
e. Jane tore up my photo, which upset me.
