which可以指代由單個(gè)名詞或代詞構(gòu)成的先行詞:
a. Anger is a wind which blows out the lamp of the mind.

b. Perhaps it is human to appreciate little that which we have and to long for that which we have not.
或許,“不惜已獲,貪求不得” 是人類(lèi)的共同弱點(diǎn)吧。(先行詞是that,which指代單個(gè)代詞。)
which可以指代一個(gè)短語(yǔ):
c. He likes climbing mountains, which is a good exercise. (先行詞是主句的一部分climbing mountains)
which還可以指代前面整個(gè)主句:
d. Tom was late, which surprised me.
