1　at the end of +時間名詞或地點名詞 表示“在……末，在……的盡頭”。

He left for London at the end of last week. 他上周末動身去倫敦了。

At the end of the street you can see a bookstore. 在大街的盡頭你會看見一家書店。

2　by the end of +時間名詞 表示“到……末為止，在……以前”，指的是到某一時間為止怎樣，或在某一時間之前怎樣，是過去完成時或將來完成時的時間標志。
