480　sit和seat

1　sit 是不及物動(dòng)詞，意為“坐”，過(guò)去式和過(guò)去分詞都是sat 。

Please sit down. 請(qǐng)坐下。

He sat in the sofa/in the chair/on the stool. 他坐在沙發(fā)上／椅子上／凳子上。

Sit up straight! 坐直了！

Others sit around and talk or sing. 其他人圍坐在一起聊天或唱歌。

2　seat 可用作名詞，意為“座位”，have/take a seat表示“就座，坐”；take one's seat 指在娛樂(lè)場(chǎng)所（電影院等）對(duì)號(hào)入座，one's不可省。seat 作動(dòng)詞用時(shí)，為及物動(dòng)詞，意為“使坐下，使就座”，后跟名詞或反身代詞作賓語(yǔ)，可用于被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)。

Please take a seat . 請(qǐng)就座。

They have taken their seats . 他們已就座。

He had his seat near the window. 他靠窗戶(hù)就座。

She seated the boy on the floor. 她讓那個(gè)男孩坐在地板上。（使……坐下 ）
