After bringing the Argentina team to the final of the World Cup 2022, Lionel Messi declared: "This final will end my career in the World Cup".

In an interview with Tyc Sports, Messi said: "The final match here will be the match that ends my career in the World Cup. Everything I experience in this World Cup is very interesting. What everyone has been through has been amazing.

But for Messi, reaching the final is not enough, but his biggest goal in life is still the world championship."The most important goal is still the championship. We are only one step away from glory. We will try our best to win."

Messi also added: "I have enjoyed this World Cup and have enjoyed it since we arrived in Qatar. Even when we started with defeat we still believed because we knew who we were. This team is crazy!Enjoy, what we are doing in this World Cup is an extraordinary achievement."

After the match, Messi also posted his gratitude to his teammates and fans on social networks. Messi wrote: "We showed our strength once again and played a great game. Sincere thanks to everyone who believed in this team. Fighting, Argentina!".
