顏面掃地：英外交部“首席捕鼠官”偷溜首相府 無情被逐

敢把大英首席捕鼠官打殘的外交部狂喵帕默斯頓又出幺蛾子了!午間閑逛時(shí)，他想偷偷溜進(jìn)首相府，結(jié)果被警衛(wèi)掃地出門。果然這只勤勉又帥氣的喵不甘心屈居死對(duì)頭拉里之下，要上演權(quán)力的游戲么?

在故事開講之前，先給大家介紹一下全英國最有名的幾只捕鼠官……(以下素材來源于微信公眾號(hào)“英國那些事兒”)

首先是英國首相府“首席捕鼠官”Larry

Larry從2011年開始就走馬上任，雖然頭銜很響亮，但這貨上任后懶癌屬性暴露，日常狀態(tài)就是躺著曬太陽……

這些年這貨老鼠沒抓到幾只，但卻撕過好幾只貓。它手撕的第一只，是卡梅倫好基友，英國前財(cái)政大臣奧斯本的貓F(tuán)reya。和懶比Larry的畫風(fēng)不一樣，F(xiàn)reya捉老鼠技能MAX

沒有對(duì)比就沒有傷害，原本Larry還能恃寵而驕，然而Freya的出現(xiàn)嚴(yán)重威脅到了它的地位，甚至還有人想要把Larry撤掉，讓Freya取代它的位置。Larry越看Freya就越不爽，終于，它開始當(dāng)街手撕Freya……

后來Freya因?yàn)樵?jīng)走丟又出現(xiàn)，被懷疑是間諜，沒多久就被發(fā)配到鄉(xiāng)下，從此離開了唐寧街。這一輪，Larry完勝。

Freya離開后，Larry又過了幾年高枕無憂的日子，直到今年，一只叫做Palmerston的貓出現(xiàn)了。

Palmerston是英國外交部“首席捕鼠官”，上任后還有記者專門去“采訪”過它，唯我獨(dú)尊的Larry怎么忍得了自己的風(fēng)頭被搶?于是，新一輪的撕逼大戰(zhàn)又開始了……

一言不合就開打!Palmerston當(dāng)年也是混過街頭的喵，武力值完全不輸Larry。這兩貨從白天撕到晚上，誰都不肯退讓。后來Larry被發(fā)現(xiàn)一瘸一拐地出現(xiàn)，右前腿傷了。于是現(xiàn)在大家普遍認(rèn)為，這一場(chǎng)撕逼大戰(zhàn)，是Palmerston贏了。據(jù)說Larry以前挺喜歡去外交部的，因?yàn)槟抢锏目照{(diào)要給力一點(diǎn)，但最近它都不咋去了，因?yàn)樗鼪]那個(gè)膽去惹Palmerston。

好了，現(xiàn)在大家明白Larry和Palmerston在英國喵界是怎樣的風(fēng)云人物了吧。以下是兩只貓的故事的最新進(jìn)展：

As the new Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson is not only in charge of relations with other countries around the world but his department's cat Palmerston.

當(dāng)上英國新外長的鮑里斯•約翰遜不僅肩負(fù)與世界其他國家搞好關(guān)系的重任，還要負(fù)責(zé)自己部門的捕鼠官帕默斯頓。

But while Mr Johnson has for the time being decided not to run for Number 10 Downing Street, his mouser decided to make a dash for power before being shown the door by security.

然而，鮑里斯本人雖然暫時(shí)決定放棄競(jìng)選首相，他的捕鼠官倒是想向權(quán)力寶座發(fā)起沖擊。當(dāng)然隨后就被警衛(wèi)請(qǐng)出門外了。

Palmerston was adopted by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office earlier this year from Battersea Cats and Dogs Home to keep the mice at bay around the Whitehall building.

來自巴特西貓狗之家的帕默斯頓在今年早些時(shí)候被外交與聯(lián)邦事務(wù)部收養(yǎng)，以控制白廳大樓里的鼠患。

And while out wandering this afternoon, Palmerston took the opportunity to try and sneak past the famous door of Number 10 and into the new home of Prime Minister Theresa May.

今天下午在外閑晃時(shí)，他瞅準(zhǔn)機(jī)會(huì)，試圖溜進(jìn)唐寧街10號(hào)那扇著名的大門，進(jìn)入首相特雷莎•梅的新家。

But the black and white cat was spotted by a security guard who quickly grabbed him and unceremoniously dumped him outside on the pavement.

但警衛(wèi)發(fā)現(xiàn)了這只黑白貓，于是迅速把他逮住且毫不客氣地丟在了外頭的人行道上。

Palmerston then came face to face with arch enemy Larry, the Downing Street cat, and the pair had a small stand-off before he wandered back home.

然后，帕默斯頓就與號(hào)稱唐寧街首席捕鼠官的死敵拉里狹路相逢了。在他晃悠回家之前，兩只喵還小小對(duì)峙了一會(huì)兒。

However, the encounter is not the first time Palmerston and Larry have squared up in the corridors of power.

但這次相遇并不是帕默斯頓和拉里首次在權(quán)力的走廊上擺開架勢(shì)。

Last month, the pair were caught brawling and screeching at each other in Downing Street in a vicious fight.

上個(gè)月，有人發(fā)現(xiàn)這對(duì)死敵在唐寧街上惡斗，沖對(duì)方又吵又叫。

The brawl saw Larry sustain an injured paw but after licking his wounds he was soon back on the prowl in Downing Street.

拉里在這場(chǎng)斗爭(zhēng)中傷了一只爪，但療傷之后又很快重新游蕩在唐寧街。

Larry arrived at Number 10 in 2011, also from Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, and former Prime Minister David Cameron welcomed the cat's arrival at the time, and said he would make a 'great addition' to the Number 10 team.

拉里在2011年來到首相府，也是收養(yǎng)自巴特西貓狗之家。那時(shí)，前首相卡梅倫歡迎了他的進(jìn)駐，說他會(huì)成為首相團(tuán)隊(duì)的“一員大將”。

Theresa May has confirmed that Larry will be staying in Downing Street now she is Prime Minister.

如今，新首相特雷莎已經(jīng)證實(shí)拉里會(huì)繼續(xù)留在唐寧街。

Meanwhile Palmerston was adopted by the Foreign Office in April after they too needed to a cat to keep mice and rats at bay.

同時(shí)，外交部在四月收養(yǎng)了帕默斯頓，他們也需要一只喵來對(duì)付鼠患。

He was named after the former Foreign Minister and Prime Minister Lord Palmerston.

他的名字取自擔(dān)任過外交大臣和首相的19世紀(jì)著名政治家帕默斯頓爵士。
