樸槿惠被彈劾后韓國進(jìn)入大選模式

South Korea swung into election mode on Monday, a day after disgraced former leader Park Geun-hye departed from the presidential Blue House in Seoul.

韓國周一進(jìn)入大選模式，一天前，名譽(yù)受損的前總統(tǒng)樸槿惠(Park Geun-hye)離開首爾的總統(tǒng)官邸青瓦臺(Blue House)。

Her ouster by the country’s top court on Friday set in motion a new presidential election cycle, with polls expected on May 9.

韓國最高法院上周五罷免樸槿惠之舉，啟動(dòng)了新的總統(tǒng)選舉周期，預(yù)計(jì)大選將于5月9日舉行。

The race looks set to be dominated by Moon Jae-in, a former human rights lawyer from the opposition Democratic party, who has pledged to revisit the deployment of a US missile shield that has triggered growing tensions with China.

此次大選看上去將由前人權(quán)律師、來自反對黨共同民主黨(Democratic party)的文在寅(Moon Jae-in，見上圖)主宰，他承諾將重新評估美國導(dǎo)彈防御系統(tǒng)的部署問題，該系統(tǒng)的部署導(dǎo)致韓國與中國的緊張關(guān)系加劇。

Meanwhile, South Korea’s ruling Liberty Korea party, for years a bulwark of conservatism in the east Asian nation, has found itself leaderless and in disarray.

與此同時(shí)，韓國執(zhí)政黨自由韓國黨(Liberty Korea party)發(fā)現(xiàn)自己失去領(lǐng)袖，處于混亂狀態(tài)。多年來，該黨在這個(gè)東亞國家一直是保守主義的壁壘。

The election comes at a critical juncture for South Korea, with many citizens believing the impeachment of Ms Park for alleged corruption and influence-peddling will pave the way for reform in the graft-ridden nation.

此次大選正值韓國走到一個(gè)關(guān)鍵路口，很多公民認(rèn)為樸槿惠因涉嫌腐敗和以權(quán)謀私遭到彈劾，將為這個(gè)腐敗猖獗的國家推行改革鋪平道路。

As she was departing the presidential residence late on Sunday, Ms Park struck a defiant tone in her first public statement since the impeachment verdict, saying “the truth will be definitely unearthed”.

在上周日晚離開總統(tǒng)官邸時(shí)，樸槿惠在彈劾裁決之后首次公開發(fā)表言論時(shí)表現(xiàn)出不屈服，稱“真相肯定會(huì)水落石出”。

Ms Park was ousted after weeks of mass protests prompted a parliamentary impeachment vote, which on Friday was upheld by the constitutional court.

From her private home in Seoul’s prosperous Gangnam district, she now awaits likely prosecution for alleged bribery and influence-peddling involving her long-time “shaman adviser” Choi Soon-sil.
