田家炳基金會(huì)發(fā)布訃告,香港實(shí)業(yè)家和慈善家田家炳今日辭世,享年99歲。
Born in 1919 in Dabu County, Guangdong, Tin headed to Vietnam and established a porcelain clay business in 1935.
田家炳于1919年出生在廣東省大埔縣。他于1935年前往越南,成立了一家瓷土公司。
Escaping from Japanese occupation, he started his business in rubber industry in Indonesia in 1939 and later became a prominent industrialist.
為逃日占,田家炳于1939年開(kāi)始在印尼經(jīng)營(yíng)橡膠行業(yè),隨后成為一名著名的實(shí)業(yè)家。
In 1958, he moved to Hong Kong with his family for his children have education in a traditional Chinese environment, according to the foundation.

Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor expressed her “deep sorrow” at Tin’s death, and hailed his contribution to the promotion of education, culture, medical and social welfare in Hong Kong and the mainland.

“On behalf of the Hong Kong special administrative region, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family,” Lam said.
