The total floor area of China's green buildings has exceeded 6.6 billion square meters amid the country's efforts to promote high-quality development in urban and rural areas.

當(dāng)前，全國累計(jì)綠色建筑面積超過66億平方米，推動(dòng)城鄉(xiāng)高質(zhì)量發(fā)展成效顯著。

Noting China's green development achievements in urban and rural areas, Zhang Xiaohong, vice minister of housing and urban-rural development, stressed the arduous task of saving energy and reducing carbon emissions in urban and rural construction, at a press conference on Monday.

住房和城鄉(xiāng)建設(shè)部副部長張小宏在10月25日召開的發(fā)布會(huì)上談到我國城鄉(xiāng)建設(shè)綠色發(fā)展的成就時(shí)說，當(dāng)前，城鄉(xiāng)建設(shè)領(lǐng)域面臨著比較艱巨的節(jié)能減排任務(wù)。

The ministry will make continuing efforts to further increase the proportion of green buildings, raise building energy efficiency standards, and popularize buildings with ultra-low energy consumption in regions with suitable climate conditions, said Tian Guomin, an official from the ministry.

住房和城鄉(xiāng)建設(shè)部官員田國民說，我國將進(jìn)一步提升綠色建筑占比。提高建筑節(jié)能標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，在適宜氣候區(qū)推廣超低能耗建筑。

It will also promote the green renovation of existing buildings to improve energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions, Tian said.

推進(jìn)既有建筑綠色化改造，提升建筑節(jié)能低碳水平。

China recently issued a guideline underpinning green development in urban and rural areas.

近日，我國發(fā)布了《關(guān)于推動(dòng)城鄉(xiāng)建設(shè)綠色發(fā)展的意見》。

Institutional mechanisms and policy systems for green development in urban and rural areas will be basically established by 2025, while a comprehensive green development will cover urban and rural areas by 2035, with an increased cut in carbon emissions, said the guideline.

到2025年，城鄉(xiāng)建設(shè)綠色發(fā)展體制機(jī)制和政策體系基本建立，到2035年，城鄉(xiāng)建設(shè)全面實(shí)現(xiàn)綠色發(fā)展，碳減排水平快速提升。
