兩辦印發(fā)關(guān)于推進(jìn)新時(shí)代古籍工作的意見(jiàn)

Chinese central authorities have issued a set of guidelines on stepping up the preservation and publication of ancient books. Ancient books are vital to China's efforts to carry on its cultural tradition, foster a Chinese ethos and enhance its cultural strength, said the document jointly issued by the general offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council.

近日，中共中央辦公廳、國(guó)務(wù)院辦公廳印發(fā)了《關(guān)于推進(jìn)新時(shí)代古籍工作的意見(jiàn)》。意見(jiàn)指出，做好古籍工作對(duì)賡續(xù)中華文脈、弘揚(yáng)民族精神、增強(qiáng)國(guó)家文化軟實(shí)力具有重要意義。

More resources will go to thorough surveys on ancient books across the country, improved storage facilities and security measures, as well as the restoration of endangered ancient books, it said.
深入開(kāi)展古籍普查，加強(qiáng)古籍存藏基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)，確保古籍資源安全。加強(qiáng)瀕危古籍搶救性修復(fù)。

The document also promised greater efforts to compile and publish ancient books, as well as to digitize them.
做好古籍的整理研究、編輯出版和數(shù)字化工作。
