表達(dá)難點(diǎn):需要陳述這樣信息的多半是剛剛畢業(yè)的學(xué)生。本來(lái)就緊張,背下來(lái)的句子結(jié)結(jié)巴巴不說(shuō),還帶著一些富有中國(guó)特色的專有名詞,老外面試官聽(tīng)起來(lái)多半是一頭霧水。我曾經(jīng)面試過(guò)一個(gè)人大的女生,自我介紹的時(shí)候說(shuō)她在校時(shí)得到過(guò)“Good Student Worker Award”。當(dāng)時(shí)我腦子里出現(xiàn)的畫面是一個(gè)粗壯勞動(dòng)?jì)D女開(kāi)拖拉機(jī)的形象。后來(lái)小姑娘告訴我,人家那是想說(shuō)“先進(jìn)學(xué)生工作者”。
表述技巧:這里就是一句話---To put your feet into the interviewer’s shoes---把你的腳放在面試官的鞋子里,意思是說(shuō)設(shè)身處地為他/她著想。想想老外知道不知道“三好學(xué)生”是哪“Three good”;鋼琴十級(jí)到底是高還是低;英語(yǔ)六級(jí)老外是不是也在大學(xué)的時(shí)候考過(guò);與其用十分鐘解釋“通州區(qū)依法誠(chéng)信納稅-共建和諧社會(huì)書法賽優(yōu)秀獎(jiǎng)”這么令人心跳加速的獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)還不如告訴人家I won a calligraphy contest funded by the local government. 雖然聽(tīng)起來(lái)不特別具體,但起碼會(huì)讓你和面試官在交流上“共建和諧”。
