1. 句子短,簡(jiǎn)單句多,復(fù)合句少。
Peter: Whatsa matter? Upset Stomach?
Judy: Not really. Just tired. Kids sleep?
Peter: Not yet. Coffee ready?
Judy: Inna minute. Tired, honey?
Peter: A little.
He can’t go. He’s busy.
(He can’t go because he’s busy.)
The meeting is at the other side of town. We may as well go by bus. It’ll save time.
(Since the meeting is at the other side of town, we may as well go by bus in order to save time.)
2. 很少用分詞結(jié)構(gòu) She stopped when she saw the look on his face. (Seeing the look on his face, she stopped.)
