Meeting at Night

灰色的海洋和漫長(zhǎng)的黑土；

The gray sea and the long black land;

黃色的弦月低垂著，那么巨大。

And the yellow half-moon large and low;

驚起的水波不再睡眠，

And the startled little waves that leap

舞蹈著一個(gè)個(gè)火焰的小圈，

In fiery ringlets from their sleep,

我在挺進(jìn)的船上，達(dá)到了小峽，

As I gain the cove with pushing prow ,

泥沙中，我抑止了船行的速度。

And quench its speed i'the slushy sand.

然后是熱海氣息的一哩沙灘，

Then a mile of warm sea-scented beach;

過(guò)了三塊田，就有農(nóng)舍出現(xiàn)；

Three fields to cross till a farm appears;

向窗欞上一敲，又迅疾地一擦——

A tap at the pane, the quick sharp scratch

火柴擦出了一片明藍(lán)的噴發(fā)，

And blue spurt of a lighted match,

一聲歡喜和恐懼織成的低喚，

And a voice less loud, through its joys and fears,

比兩片相偎的心跳還低一點(diǎn)！

Than the two hearts beating each to each!
