There is a quote that says, “Cease to struggle and you cease to live.” It means that one should never stop pursuing his goals no matter how great the difficulties he encounters are. 1 It stresses the importance of personal strivings. If one stops before setbacks, he will achieve nothing. So personal strivings are of vital importance to success. 2
Personal strivings refer to ongoing efforts made by people to achieve their goals. There have been many great figures in history, many of whom were very poor in childhood without relatives or friends to help them out. However, they relied on themselves and never bowed to any difficulty.
