With the improvement of our living standards, people are increasingly concerned about their diets. 1 However, there is now a growing unrest over food safety after a series of food safety accidents have occurred across the country in recent years. 2 I believe at least three factors account for this issue. 3
First and foremost 4 , manufacturers should be blamed most. Since they aim to make more profits, they may take the risk of breaking laws and sacrificing consumers’ health, producing unhealthy food. For instance, some food producers tend to use overdosed additives in order to make the food look or taste better. In addition 4 , the departments that oversee food safety and enforce policies should also be responsible because the laws and regulations have not been implemented in a strict way in many cases. And sometimes the manufacturers who violated the law haven’t been severely punished. Last but not least 4 , consumers tend to buy or eat the food that tastes better. They may not know that the better the food tastes, the more ingredients it may have, which may pose a greater threat to people’s health.
In view of the seriousness of the problem, effective measures must be taken before things get worse. Firstly, it is imperative that relevant laws and regulations should be enforced in a stricter way. Secondly, the public’s awareness of the importance of food quality should be raised. Only by taking these actions can the problem be tackled successfully in the nearest future. 5
隨著生活水平的提高，人們越來越關(guān)注飲食。然而，在近些年我國連續(xù)發(fā)生了多起食品安全事故后，人們對食品安全現(xiàn)狀日益擔(dān)憂。我認(rèn)為導(dǎo)致該現(xiàn)象的原因至少有三個(gè)。
