"Flying Dream," a memorial sculpture for World Expo 2010 volunteers, was unveiled in the north of the Theme Pavilions at the Expo site yesterday.
世博志愿者紀(jì)念雕塑“飛翔的心愿”昨日在世博園主題館北面的志愿者廣場(chǎng)揭幕。
The sculpture weighing 30 tons is made of stainless steel and has a base of granite. It takes the form of "心," the Chinese character for heart, resembling the logo of Expo 2010 volunteers.
重30噸的不銹鋼雕塑安置在花崗巖底座上,外形類似漢字“心”,這也是志愿者標(biāo)志的造型。
The sculpture represents volunteers' hard work, passion and cooperation spirit, the organizers said.
主辦方稱,這個(gè)雕塑代表了志愿者的辛勤工作、熱情和合作精神。
