A: Alright, we've been watching some comedy lately. I wanna know who your favorite comic is?

B: My favorite comic? It's a draw between Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock.
 
我最喜歡的喜劇演員？戴夫·查佩爾和克里斯·洛克。
 
A: Is Chris Rock really like, is he still doing something?
 
克里斯·洛克還有在活動(dòng)嗎？
 
B: No, he really hasn't done anything recently, but still like, yeah, he's pretty, a pretty funny guy.
 
沒(méi)有，最近他沒(méi)推出什么作品，不過(guò)他仍然是非常有趣的人。
 
A: He it totally funny.
 
他真的特別搞笑。
 
B: He's hard to top.

A: When is the last time he was totally working a lot, though?

B: It's gotta be maybe five years ago.

A: Yeah, it's been awhile.

B: Yeah. Now he's like... I don't even know what he does anymore. Maybe he's an actor now.

A: He's flipping burgers.

B: Yeah, he has to feed his family.

A: Is that finished?

A: The Chappelle Show.

B: It's taking a break or something. What I heard was that he went crazy and he like checked himself into an insane asylum.
 
節(jié)目可能是暫停之類的。我聽(tīng)說(shuō)他瘋了，住進(jìn)了精神病院。
 
A: For serious. For real.
 
真的嗎？
 
B: Like all the pressure from work was getting to him and stuff. Like he just wanted break.
 
好像是他承受了太多的工作壓力。他只想休息一下。
 
A: That's so amazing.
 
這太不可思議了。
 
B: Or he ran off to Africa or something.
 
還有人說(shuō)他逃到非洲去了。
 
A: You know what, that is just incredible because, it's like you know, the whole grass is greener concept. It's like, you think if you're a comedian and you're making people laugh all day and you're on stage and you're laughing too that you're probably having fun but at the end of the day, I guess work's work.
 
這真是難以置信，這就是不滿足于現(xiàn)在的情況。喜劇演員是讓人們發(fā)笑的人，他們?cè)谖枧_(tái)上表演的時(shí)候也會(huì)大笑，好像很開(kāi)心，但實(shí)際上每天結(jié)束后，對(duì)他們來(lái)說(shuō)這其實(shí)就是工作。
 
B: Yeah, work's work and he was doing, like he mentioned in stand-up he was working maybe 16, 18, 20 hours a day.
 
對(duì)，工作就是工作，就像他在單口喜劇里說(shuō)的那樣，他一天要工作16或18個(gè)小時(shí)，甚至是20個(gè)小時(shí)。
 
A: Really!

B: Yeah, so even like hard to study...

A: What was he doing for 20 hours a day?

B: Uh, like just doing his show. Like I guess it takes a lot of preparation and...

A: That's crazy.

B: Even with all the help in the world, I guess he's still, you know, you have to make it quality, so it takes time and effort.

A: Yeah.
 
對(duì)。
 
B: So, even if it is comedy, it might not be fun twenty hours a day.
 
即使是做喜劇，也不可能一天24小時(shí)都開(kāi)心。
 
A: I guess that's like the funny thing, you just think if someone's a comedian, it just all comes naturally. It's like it all just comes spur of the moment, but I guess the real thing is that a lot of work goes into it.
 
一般人們認(rèn)為對(duì)喜劇演員來(lái)說(shuō)，講出搞笑的事情很正常。他們能在一瞬間想到這些點(diǎn)子，但其實(shí)為了做出節(jié)目他們有許多工作要做。
 
B: Yeah, I think so. Like to be creative on a consistent basis is probably isn't the easiest thing in the world.
 
對(duì)，我也這么認(rèn)為。要一直保持創(chuàng)造力并不是容易的事情。
 
A: Yeah. I think so. It sure is for me anyways. Are you a Seinfeild fan?
 
對(duì)，我同意。對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)就是這樣。你喜歡看《宋飛正傳》嗎？
 
B: Seinfeild...
 
《宋飛正傳》……
 
A: Not really. I'm reading your body language.
 
看來(lái)你不太喜歡，我可以從你的身體語(yǔ)言上看出來(lái)。
 
B: No, I did watch a few episodes, here and there, when it was on TV and I was bored, but...
 
肯：那部劇在電視上播出時(shí)，我無(wú)聊的時(shí)候斷斷續(xù)續(xù)地看過(guò)幾集，不過(guò)……
 
A: You're not a big fan?
 
你并不是很喜歡？
 
B: Like I started watching it after the show ended like you know when everybody was watching the season finale, like I had never really regularly watched the show and I didn't even catch the season finale, but so, me friends were like, "Did you watch it? Did you watch it?" and I'm like, "No."
 
我在那部劇完結(jié)以后才開(kāi)始看，當(dāng)時(shí)所有人都看了結(jié)局，可是我基本上還沒(méi)怎么看過(guò)，而且我也沒(méi)有看結(jié)局，我朋友問(wèn)我你看結(jié)局了嗎？你看了嗎？我回答他說(shuō)沒(méi)有。
 
A: I think it's brilliant. I think it's incredibly brilliant.
 
我認(rèn)為那部劇很精彩，非常非常精彩。
 
B: Yeah, it's a good show.

A: Yeah.
