B: Honestly speaking, I felt very unaccustomed at the beginning. Oxford is like a quite different world, and everything is so different from China. However, I have already got used to it now.

A: I understand! It’s extremely hard to live in a quite different country. You’re required to deal with a host of problems, for example, communication problems caused by language barrier.

B: Right! Luckily, I’m able to solve all these problems gradually.

A: Good! What’s the weather like there?

B:Well, Oxford has a Maritime Temperate climate. As the sea takes longer to warm up and longer to cool down，there is less seasonal variation in temperature. As thus, it is warm in winter and cool in summer in Oxford, with the average temperature in the coldest month above 0°C and below 22 °C in the hottest month.

B: The University of Oxford is quite different from other universities. It not only doesn’t have school gate and walls, but also a formal sign. It is combined with the city, and streets go through the campus. Some colleges are even in the city centre, like the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin.
 
牛津大學(xué)與其他的大學(xué)不同。它不僅沒有校門和圍墻，而且連正式的招牌也沒有。它與牛津城融為一體，街道就從校園穿過。有些學(xué)院甚至在市中心，比如牛津大學(xué)圣瑪利亞教堂。
