A: Hi, Mary. I haven't seen you in ages! I heard that you and Daniel are getting married on August 8th, the opening day of the 2008 Olympic Games. Is it true?
 
嗨，瑪麗，好久不見(jiàn)！聽(tīng)說(shuō)你和丹尼爾打算8月8日，也就是2008年奧運(yùn)會(huì)的第一天結(jié)婚，是真的嗎？
 
B: yes, it is. We've been dating for over 7 years. We have decided to get married on a special day and we think August 8th, 2008 is a red-letter day.
 
是的，我們已經(jīng)談了7年戀愛(ài)，決定選個(gè)特殊的日子結(jié)婚。2008年8月8日正是個(gè)好日子。
 
A: good for you! It sounds like you've done a lot of planning in a very short time.
 
太好了！看起來(lái)你們要在很短的時(shí)間內(nèi)準(zhǔn)備很多事情了。
 
B: yes, there is a lot of to be taken care of---wedding photos, wedding dress, catering, transport, hotel, etc…
 
是啊，要考慮很多事---拍結(jié)婚照，選婚紗，擺酒席，安排車(chē)輛等。
 
A: is everything ready now?
 
都準(zhǔn)備好了嗎？
 
B: almost. The only thing that isn't ready is the hotel. As a lot of people have chosen that day to get married, it is hard to find a hotel that isn't too expensive.
 
差不多了，就剩酒店了。因?yàn)槟翘煊泻芏嗳私Y(jié)婚，很難找到價(jià)位適合的酒店。
 
A: have you tried The Peninsula Palace Beijing? My wedding reception was held there and they did an excellent job.
 
你試過(guò)王府半島酒店嗎？我的婚宴就在那兒辦的，辦的很好。
 
B: yes, we called, but it is booked up. The only choice is the Regent Beijing but we haven't made up our minds yet.
 
是的，打過(guò)電話了，但是已經(jīng)訂滿了，就只剩下北京麗晶酒店了，我們還沒(méi)決定呢。
 
A: it's an excellent hotel. A friend of mine had her wedding reception there and sasid it was perfect, though very expensive.
 
北京麗晶酒店很好啊。我有個(gè)朋友就在那兒辦的婚宴，聽(tīng)說(shuō)不錯(cuò)，只是價(jià)格稍微貴了點(diǎn)。
 
B: that's why we want to have a look at other hotels. We don’t want to spend too much on an extravagant wedding reception.
 
所以我們想再看看。我們不想在婚宴上太鋪張。
 
A: I guess you're right. I can help you ask other hotels. I am sure there are probably some available.
 
說(shuō)的也是，我可以幫你問(wèn)問(wèn)其它酒店，肯定有一些還沒(méi)訂滿。
