       70年代初期，中國(guó)功夫和Disco舞曲是二種波及歐美主流國(guó)家的新熱潮。
　　中國(guó)功夫作為亞洲元素的代表，在西方人眼中具有奇異但讓他們熱血沸騰的特質(zhì)。當(dāng)然，這全應(yīng)歸功于大神李小龍。1971年，李小龍回港拍攝了第一部新派功夫電影《唐山大兄》。這部電影，成了香港電影的救市之作，更開(kāi)創(chuàng)了一門(mén)世界電影史都必須承認(rèn)的類(lèi)別，中國(guó)（香港）功夫電影。到了李小龍的第三、四部電影《猛龍過(guò)江》（1972）和《龍爭(zhēng)虎斗》（1973）時(shí)，因拍攝的外景場(chǎng)地和班底趨于國(guó)際化，讓好萊塢等歐美電影發(fā)行商注意到李小龍功夫電影的獨(dú)特魅力。至此，西方人狂熱的愛(ài)上了李小龍這種硬橋硬馬的真功夫電影及片中所體現(xiàn)出懲惡揚(yáng)善的個(gè)人英雄主義，“中國(guó)功夫”這一獨(dú)特的文化元素也開(kāi)始被西方人熟識(shí)并學(xué)習(xí)。而李小龍強(qiáng)調(diào)的“用中國(guó)人的方法做外國(guó)人做不到的事”，或許也是其在西方獨(dú)占一席，現(xiàn)今更仍是中國(guó)影人進(jìn)入國(guó)際影業(yè)捷徑的基點(diǎn)。
　　70—80年代，也是Disco舞曲的鼎盛時(shí)期。這種帶有自我解放及反抗意識(shí)的新節(jié)奏（當(dāng)時(shí)）舞曲，是生活不可或缺的一部分。那時(shí)的john travolta還是舞會(huì)王子，他著小喇叭褲的標(biāo)志性舞步，帶動(dòng)整個(gè)Disco風(fēng)潮的熱力四射。由他主演的電影《Saturday Night Fever》可以看到70年代的各式代表性符號(hào)和全民皆舞的Disco瘋狂。
　　正是在這種雙重背景下，《Kung Fu Fighting》誕生了。

　Cee-Lo Green來(lái)自美國(guó)著名的老牌hip-hop團(tuán)體Goodie Mob，同時(shí)他也是一位頗為活躍的solo藝人，在很多大牌hip-hop藝人的唱片中都可以看到他的身影，去年由他操刀制作的熱門(mén)單曲"Don't Cha"更是風(fēng)靡了全世界。2004年底Cee-Lo剛剛發(fā)行了自己的個(gè)人專(zhuān)輯"Cee-Lo Green Is The Soul Machine"，作為詞曲作者的Cee-Lo Green，2005年P(guān)ussycat Dolls和Busta Rhymes共同演唱的冠軍單曲“Don't Cha”,正是出自他的筆下。
