Have you ever wondered how someone can be moved to tears by a news story about a killed lion, yet feel no remorse over putting a maggot on the hook and go fishing?

你有沒(méi)有想過(guò)，一個(gè)人怎么可能會(huì)被一條關(guān)于一只被殺死的獅子的新聞故事感動(dòng)得流淚，卻對(duì)把蛆掛在魚鉤上然后去釣魚毫無(wú)悔意?

The answer is speciesism, the belief that one species is more important than another. In an effort to make people know about something that is commonly unknown about, I created this art in an effort to raise awareness about this issue.

答案是物種主義，相信一個(gè)物種比另一個(gè)物種更重要。為了讓人們了解一些通常不為人知的事情，我創(chuàng)造了這門藝術(shù)來(lái)提高人們對(duì)這個(gè)問(wèn)題的認(rèn)識(shí)。

I am really not trying to convince anybody to live a certain way. Because no matter what choices you’ve made, it's yours to make! What I want to do is to start people talking in a friendly and relaxed way. By connecting deep issues with beautiful art, I am trying to create this "common ground" surrounding the topics. The art becomes like a mediator.

我真的不想說(shuō)服任何人以某種方式生活。因?yàn)椴还苣阕隽耸裁催x擇，都是你的選擇!我想做的是讓人們以一種友好而輕松的方式開(kāi)始交談。通過(guò)將深刻的問(wèn)題與美麗的藝術(shù)聯(lián)系起來(lái)，我試圖圍繞這些主題創(chuàng)建這種“共同點(diǎn)”。藝術(shù)變成了一種媒介。

The purpose of the art is to show how we are all one in (and with) nature, the earth and its life forces. If a cow can be best friends with a lion, we should treat our planet and everything on it as our best friends. Because no matter species or belief, we all need to be one with each other.

這門藝術(shù)的目的是展示我們?nèi)绾闻c大自然、地球及其生命力融為一體。如果一頭牛能和一頭獅子成為最好的朋友，我們就應(yīng)該把我們的星球和星球上的一切都當(dāng)作最好的朋友。因?yàn)闊o(wú)論物種或信仰，我們都需要彼此成為一體。
