　　Dessert & Desert

　　Dessert是一種甜點(diǎn)，而the desert是指的是又熱又干的沙漠。

　　Accept & Except

　　Accept意思是接受或是同意某事物，而except則恰恰相反，指的是排除的意思。

　　There & their

　　前一個(gè)單詞是地點(diǎn)副詞而后者是物主代詞。例如Their house is over there.

　　Principle and principal

　　Principle是信條、價(jià)值觀或是基本原則的意思，而principal意思是學(xué)校的校長(zhǎng)，或是主要的事物。前一個(gè)單詞是個(gè)名詞而后一個(gè)是動(dòng)詞，因此你可以advise someone by giving them good advice.

　　Borrow &lend

　　To borrow意思是借貸某物，而to lend意思是借出某物。 例如Can I borrow your car? Sorry, I can't lend it to you today.

　　Despite & although
