[00:00.46]Once there was a very religious and skillful potter whose pottery was well-known far and wide. [00:07.05]However, he was not satisfied with his finely crafted but fragile pottery. [00:20.70]He prayed hard to God to grant his wish for unbreakable pottery. The Potter

從前，有個虔誠信仰宗教、技藝高超的陶工，他制作的陶器遠(yuǎn)近聞名?？墒?，他對自己精心制作的陶器并不滿意，因為陶器很容易碎。他心想，要是他制作的陶器永遠(yuǎn)摔不破，那么他的聲譽就會更高，買賣就會更興隆。于是，他便向上帝禱告，苦苦祈求上帝讓他實現(xiàn)他制作的陶器打不破的愿望。

一天夜里，他夢見上帝對他說：“如果你確信自己將來不后悔，我就讓你實現(xiàn)這一愿望。” 陶工說：“是的，上帝，我決不后悔。”第二天早晨，陶工醒來后做的第一件事就是要檢驗一下上帝是否滿足了他的愿望。他來到陶器制作室，用粘土做了一個罐子，然后把它放在陽光下曬。罐子曬干后，他便舉起它使勁往地上摔去，罐子果然完好無損。陶工滿心歡喜。陶工制作的罐子摔不破的消息，很快傳開了。四面八方的人們都紛紛趕來搶購他的陶器，他因此賺了好多錢，名聲大振。

但是，好景不長。沒過多久，他的生意就清淡了下來。雖然大家對他的陶器贊不絕口，但是，由于他制作的陶器永遠(yuǎn)摔不破，所以買一個就無需再買了。生意一天天地蕭條，他的經(jīng)濟狀況也每況愈下?，F(xiàn)在他只好不斷地向上帝禱告，希望上帝能恢復(fù)他原來那樣的陶器。一天晚上，陶工又夢見了上帝，他眼淚汪汪地祈求上帝原諒他的愚蠢無知。上帝說：“既然你承認(rèn)自己錯了，我就原諒你，也滿足你最近的愿望。” 從那時起，陶工制作的陶器又變成原來那樣一摔就破了，人們對陶器的需求大增，陶工的生意也再次興隆起來。
