A: I don't think it truly matters what generation you're going into.
你生長在哪個年代并不重要，
Look at my parents,they,with these angry young May sixty eight people.
就拿我父母來說，他們是屬于那種六八年五月運(yùn)動里憤怒的、反叛一切的青年人，
revolting against everything,you know the Government,the Conservative Catholic background.
他們反叛政府，反叛保守天主教背景的一切；
I was born not long after and then my father went on to become this successful architect and begin to travel around the world and build bridges and you know,
不久后我出世，父親成了一個成功的建筑師，他興建了很多的橋梁，而我們亦要到世界各地去，
towers and stuff.
還有塔。
And I really can't complain about anything ,you know,
我真的不可以埋怨任何事情，你知道，
they love me more than anything in the world and I've been raised with all the freedom they had fought for,
他們很疼我，令我在他們奮爭而來的環(huán)境中自由長大，
and yet for me now it's another type of fight .
而那對我又是一種抗?fàn)帲?br />
We still have to deal with the same old shit but we can't ,you know,who or what the enemy is.
我們?nèi)匀粦?yīng)付同一問題，但卻無法知道敵人是誰或是什么。
B:I don't know if there really is an enemy.
我不知道是否有敵人；
You know,rich kids'parents gave them too much, poor kids not enough,you know,too much attention not enough attention.
富家子女就有太多的享受，窮的卻不夠，獲得的照顧不夠。
They either left them or stuck around and taught them the wrong things.you know.
父母不是離開便是守在子女旁，教些錯誤的東西；
I mean my parents are just these two kids who didn't like each other very much,
我父母是不太喜歡對方的人，
who decided to get married and have a kid and they try their best to be nice to me.
他們決定結(jié)婚生子，也想盡力寵愛我。
A: Did your parents divorce?
你的父母離婚了嗎？
B: Yeah, finally, They should have done it a lot sooner but they stuck together for a while for the well-being of my sister and I,
最后還是離了，他們早該離婚，但考慮到我和姐姐才拖延了。

我就不稀罕。
I remember my mother once ,she told me right in front of my father,they were having this big fight
我媽有次對我說，家就在我爸爸的面前，他們曾吵過架，
that he didn't really want to have me ,
他說他不想要我，
you know that he was really pissed off when he found out that she was pregnant with me.
當(dāng)他發(fā)現(xiàn)我媽媽懷了我的時候，他真正地發(fā)怒了。
You know that I was his big mistake and I think that really shaped the way I think,
你知道我是他最大的錯誤，我認(rèn)為我真正成長的道路，
I always saw the world as the place where I really wasn't meant to be.
我看到的世界總不是我想要的。
A: That's so sad.
真悲哀。
B: I eventually kind of took pride in it , you know ,like my life was my own doing.or something,
我終于覺得自豪，好像生命是我自己的杰作，
more like I was crashing a big party.
或者說更像來參加大派對一樣。
A: That's the way to see it .
那才是適當(dāng)?shù)目捶ǎ?br />
You know ,my parents they're still married and I guess they're very happy,
我父母仍未離婚，我想他們一定很幸福；
but I just think it's a healthy process to rebel against everything that came before.
我認(rèn)為反抗以前的一切是一個健康的過程。
B: Yea!
是。
A: You know I've been wondering lately,do you know anyone who's in a healthy relationship?
我最近想起，你認(rèn)識的人之中有沒有一些關(guān)系好些的？
B: Yea sure,you know I know happy couples but I think they lie to each other .
有，有幾對夫婦頗開心，但我相信他們是在彼此說謊而已。
A;Yea. People can lead their life as a lie, my grandmother ,
人們可以靠騙對方過活，像我祖母，
she was married to this man and I always thought she had a very simple uncompleted love life,
結(jié)婚后，她過著幸福的生活，但她向我承認(rèn)她畢生夢想著所愛的人。
but she just confessed to me that she spent a whole life dreaming about another man that she was always in love with;
但是她公開承認(rèn)她花了一生的時間去想一個他一直愛的人。
she just expected her fate .
她僅僅是反對她的命運(yùn)。
It's so sad and at the same time I love the idea that she had all those emotions and feelings I never thought she would have had.
那是多么的悲哀，同時我更喜歡我一直都沒有想到的她所有的感情和思想。
B: I guarantee you it's better that way ,
那敢向你擔(dān)保那是一個更好的方法。
if she would have ever got to know him,you know ,I'm sure he would have disappointed her eventually.
你知道的，如果她曾經(jīng)和他真正接觸，我確信他將會讓她失望的。
A: How do you know,you don't know them?
你怎么知道的，你不是不知道他們嗎？
B: Yea I know, I know but these people like these romantic projections they put on everything,
我知道人們這些只是浪漫的幻想。
you know ,it's not based on any kind of reality.
你知道的，這些不是建立在任何現(xiàn)實(shí)基礎(chǔ)上的。
A: Romantic projections?
浪漫的幻想？
B; Yea!
是！
A: Oh! Mr. Romantic up there in the first wall.kiss me the sunset. Oh! It's so beautiful.
我記得剛才在摩天輪處，有位浪漫先生對我說日落很美，而且還來吻我。
B: Alright ,alright ,alright, you are telling me about your grandmother ,what are you saying about her?
好了，告訴我你祖母的事。你怎么說她？
A: No!
沒有！
