二、并列句特殊句式

1.祈使句+連詞+陳述句

（1）祈使句+and+陳述句

Work hard and you’ll succeed.努力干吧，你會成功的。

Arrive late once more and you’re fired.你再遲到一次，你就會被開除。

Give him an inch and he will take a mile.得寸進(jìn)尺。

Follow the doctor’s advice，and you’ll be well very soon.

聽從醫(yī)生的醫(yī)囑，你很快就會好起來的。

（2）祈使句+or+陳述句

Work hard or you will fail in the exam.如果你不努力的話，考試會不及格的。

Take the chance，or you will never succeed.抓住機(jī)會吧，否則你永遠(yuǎn)不會成功。

Watch your step，or else you might fall into the water.留神腳下，不然你會掉進(jìn)水里的。

Do as you’re told，otherwise you’ll be in trouble.

叫你怎么做就怎么做，否則你會有麻煩的。

【提示】 or 有時也可以用or else或otherwise代替。

（3）名詞詞組+and+陳述句

One more step，and the baby will fall into the well.

再多邁一步，這個小男孩就掉進(jìn)井里了。

One step further and you’ll get lost.再多走一步，你就會迷失方向了。

A few minutes earlier，and I could have seen the famous scientist.

要是我早來幾分鐘，就能見到那位著名的科學(xué)家了。

A bit more effort，and the problem would be straightened out.

再多點努力，問題就會解決。

（4）祈使句+破折號+陳述句

Try some of this juice — perhaps you’ll like it.嘗嘗這種果汁，也許你會喜歡的。

【比較】

①Work hard，and you’ll succeed.（并列句：祈使句+and+結(jié)果分句）

②If you work hard，you’ll succeed.（復(fù)合句）

③Working hard，you’ll succeed.（簡單句，現(xiàn)在分詞作狀語）

2.“分句+when ...”句式，意為“就在那時（突然）……”

（1）was/were doing sth.when ...

She was watching TV when the door bell rang.她正在看電視，這時門鈴響了。

He was still smiling when the door opened and his wife came in.

他正笑著的時候，門突然開了，他妻子走了進(jìn)來。

He was running away when the policemen stopped him.

他正要逃跑，警察突然攔住了他。

（2）had done sth.when ...

He had gone to bed when the telephone rang.他剛剛上床睡覺電話就響了。

I had travelled only two hours when the winds increased so much.

我剛走了兩個小時，突然狂風(fēng)大作。

He had walked a few steps when he realized it was the wrong direction.

他還沒走出去幾步遠(yuǎn)，突然意識到走錯了方向。

（3）was/were about to do sth.when ...

They were about to set out when it began to rain.他們正要出發(fā)，這時下起了雨。

She was just about to say something more when she noticed his sorrowful look.

她剛要再說些什么，突然看到了他悲傷的臉色。

We were about to telephone you when your telegram arrived.

我們正準(zhǔn)備給你打電話，這時你的電報來了。

（4）was/were on the point of doing sth.when ...

He was on the point of leaving when someone knocked at the door.他剛要走就有人敲門。

They were on the point of giving up when the captain encouraged them fiercely to save the ship.就在他們快要放棄努力時，船長鼓勵他們竭盡全力挽救輪船。

The coach was just on the point of giving up the game when our team scored two points.

教練正準(zhǔn)備放棄比賽，這時我們隊得了兩分。

（5）was/were busy doing sth.when ...

I was busy doing my homework when one of my classmates came.

我正忙著做作業(yè)，這時我的一個同學(xué)來找我。

I was busy cooking when there was a knock at the door.

我正在忙著做飯，突然聽到了敲門的聲音。

（6）was/were+介詞短語+when ...

He was on his way to a lecture when a tourist stopped him.

在他去聽課的路上，一名游客攔住了他。

The mother was inside the house when the shooting occurred.

槍擊事件發(fā)生時，這位母親正在家里。
