自由滑雪界冉冉升起的美少女——谷愛(ài)凌

Even with the outbreak of the novel coronavirus affecting preparations for 2022, Chinese athletes are showing no signs of letting up in their quest for Olympic glory, recently highlighted by a series of inspirational wins in the International Ski Federation’s World Cup circuit.

盡管新型冠狀病毒肺炎疫情對(duì)中國(guó)運(yùn)動(dòng)員備戰(zhàn)2022年冬奧會(huì)有所影響，但他們并未停下追逐奧運(yùn)榮譽(yù)的腳步，尤其是最近中國(guó)運(yùn)動(dòng)員在國(guó)際雪聯(lián)自由式滑雪U型池世界杯的賽場(chǎng)上捷報(bào)頻傳，鼓舞人心。

China’s Gu Ailing, an American-born freestyle talent, made history by becoming the first ever back-to-back freeski World Cup winner in two different events at the same venue after claiming the slopestyle title in Calgary, Canada, on Feb 15.

中國(guó)隊(duì)的谷愛(ài)凌出生在美國(guó)，是位自由式滑雪的天才選手。2月15日，她在加拿大卡爾加里獲得坡面障礙技巧項(xiàng)目冠軍，成為首位在同一站自由式滑雪世界杯上背靠背拿下兩枚金牌的選手，創(chuàng)造了歷史。

此前一天，谷愛(ài)凌剛在U型場(chǎng)地項(xiàng)目的比賽中拿下了她的首枚世界杯金牌。

Gu again thrilled the crowds on Feb 15 in the slopestyle with another impressive display of technical riding, landing a string of difficult tricks, including a massive right 900° twist with a tail grab in her second run that earned her 89.18 points to dominate the 18-strong field.

谷愛(ài)凌在2月15日的坡面障礙技巧比賽中再次驚艷了觀眾，她展示的技術(shù)滑行動(dòng)作令人印象深刻，落地動(dòng)作中也有一系列高難度的花樣，如第二輪比賽中的右側(cè)大回轉(zhuǎn)900度抓板的動(dòng)作讓她獲得了89.18的高分，在這場(chǎng)18強(qiáng)比賽中處于領(lǐng)先優(yōu)勢(shì)。

“Honestly, my mind is blown,” Gu told the FIS website after the triumph. “Coming in I didn’t have any expectations. I try not to take anything for granted. Honestly, I could not have expected two wins from these events.”

“I really just came in trying to do my best and ski the way I knew I could. Skiing my best is really the best part of this, and being rewarded for it just makes it even better.”

Born to a Chinese mother and an American father in San Francisco, US, Gu, better known as Eileen in the States, completed a naturalization process last June to represent China in international competitions.

谷愛(ài)凌出生于美國(guó)舊金山，母親是中國(guó)人，父親是美國(guó)人，在美國(guó)更多人稱(chēng)她為Eileen。去年6月，谷愛(ài)凌正式轉(zhuǎn)為中國(guó)國(guó)籍，在國(guó)際賽事中代表中國(guó)出征。

Now she has her sights set on doing her mother’s home country proud at the 2022 Beijing Games.

如今，她把目光放在2022年北京冬奧會(huì)上，希望能為母親的祖國(guó)爭(zhēng)光。

A versatile skier who has won many national junior titles in the US, Gu shot to prominence last month after winning two golds and a silver – in halfpipe, Big Air and slopestyle – at her debut Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne, Switzerland.

作為一位在美國(guó)多次獲得全國(guó)青少年冠軍，能夠身兼多個(gè)項(xiàng)目的滑雪運(yùn)動(dòng)員，谷愛(ài)凌上個(gè)月在瑞士洛桑冬青奧會(huì)初次登臺(tái)便獲得了U型場(chǎng)地和大跳臺(tái)的金牌以及坡面障礙技巧的銀牌，從而一戰(zhàn)成名。

With Gu now on board in freeski, China’s snow sports team, which also features world-class aerial skiers and halfpipe snowboarders, is determined to challenge Western dominance on the snow in 2022.
