2019年7月，中共中央總書記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習近平在內(nèi)蒙古自治區(qū)考察調(diào)研時強調(diào)，要堅持和完善民族區(qū)域自治制度，促進民族團結融合，促進各民族像石榴籽一樣緊緊抱在一起。

President Xi Jinping called for more efforts to uphold and improve the system of regional ethnic autonomy, promote ethnic unity so that all ethnic groups could be together "like seeds of a pomegranate". Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks during an inspection tour to north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region last month.
