迷你對(duì)話：
A: Tom, I expect you to be on the level with me.Sometimes I was really sad about what you said.

地道表達(dá)：be on the level with sb.
1. 解詞釋義
Level這個(gè)詞語有幾個(gè)意思，在這里可以理解為“水平面”，因此，on the level就可以說是“在說平面上”，即可以清清楚楚看見的。如果我們說一個(gè)人on the level，那意思就是說這個(gè)人很直率，坦誠，誠實(shí)，沒有騙人你可以相信他的話。對(duì)話中“I expect you to be on the level with me.”的意思就是“我希望你能坦誠對(duì)我。”

e.g. I'm afraid no one is on the level with me here.
恐怕你們都沒有對(duì)我說實(shí)話。
e.g. Paisley told me I'd acted square and on the level with him and he was proud to call me afriend.

Ps 1：be sad about的意思是“對(duì)......感到難受”“對(duì)......感到傷心”等。例如：

Ps 2：unintentional的意思是“無心的，不是故意的”。例如：
Sometimes, there are some deliberate or unintentional misunderstandings appearing amongthem. 有時(shí)候他們之間也會(huì)有意無意地出現(xiàn)一些不理解。
Perhaps he had slightly misled them, but it was quite unintentional. 也許他給他們?cè)斐闪诵⌒〉恼`導(dǎo)，但他不是有意的。
