Burn是“燃燒,燒著”的意思,burn up可以作為“燃起來(lái),旺起來(lái)”解,而burn sb up的字面意思是“把某人點(diǎn)燃了”,引申為“使得某人發(fā)怒”。給惹怒的對(duì)方的怒氣程度要比angry,mad這些詞語(yǔ)要強(qiáng)烈。
