　　1. 解詞釋義

　　At one’s wits中的wit是指“領(lǐng)悟力，智力，理解力”。此語的字面意思是“處在某人智力的末端”，也就說某人“智窮計盡，沒有辦法”了。表示對某事或某人束手無策，拿某人或某事沒有辦法了，在段語的后面用介詞“with”，即：at one’s wits with sb. /sth.

　　e.g. I'm at my wits' end worrying about how to pay the bills.

　　我怎樣付清這些帳, 完全沒有主意。

　　e.g. I am at my wits' end to know what to do with my son.

　　我真不知對我兒子該怎么辦才好。

　　Ps 2：without any reason的意思是“毫無理由，毫無緣由，無緣無故”。例如：

　　They tore up the agreement without any reason.
