　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Foot the bill的字面意思是“踩著賬單，趕快開溜”，比喻為“結賬，付賬，買單”的意思。

　　早在15世紀，人們開始用foot the bill表示把所有的賬目加起來后算出總金額，然后寫在賬單的底部(foot ofbill or account)，foot相當于button，在這時候跟消費者無關。但是到了19世紀，則與消費者有關了，表示“付賬，買單”的意思，一直沿用至今。
