第25單元 海盜船
Nick grabbed his bag and looked around for his boat. He didn't know which one was his. There weere only two left at the dock. This one must be it, he thought to himself as he quickly boarded the old ship. He got a new job shrimp fishing and today was his first day.
尼克抓起他的旅行袋，到處找他的船。船塢上只剩兩艘船，他不知道哪一艘才是他的。一定是這艘了，他邊想便迅速地登上那艘舊船。他找到一份捕蝦的新工作，今天則是他第一天出海。
It was a strange looking fishing boat. He didn't see any nets. Nor did he see any fish. He looked up and saw a black flag with a skull on it. "Oh, no!!" thought Nick. "I am on a pirate ship."
這艘漁船看起來(lái)怪怪的，他既沒(méi)有看到漁網(wǎng)也沒(méi)有看到任何魚(yú)。他抬頭一看，結(jié)果看到一面印著骷髏的黑旗。哦，天啊!尼克心想，我上海盜船了。
Just then the captain came out. He was an ugly man with only one eye. "So, we have astowaway," said the captain. "No, I want to be a fisherman," said Nick, "I got on the wrong boat. Please let me off."
就在那時(shí)船長(zhǎng)出現(xiàn)了，是個(gè)丑陋的獨(dú)眼龍。“看來(lái)我們有偷渡客了，”船長(zhǎng)說(shuō)：“你想當(dāng)海盜嗎?”“不， 我想當(dāng)漁夫，”尼克說(shuō)：“我上錯(cuò)船了，請(qǐng)饒了我吧。”
"ARRR," said the pirate, "You must walk the plank if you want to get off this boat." Nick didn't know what to do. They were already far out to sea. But he didn't want to be a pirate so he walked to the edge of the plank and jumped.
“呵呵，”船長(zhǎng)說(shuō)“如果你想下船，就從這塊板子上走過(guò)去。”尼克不曉得該怎么辦。他們已經(jīng)離海岸很遠(yuǎn)了，可是他又不想當(dāng)一名海盜;于是他走到板子邊緣，縱身跳進(jìn)海里。
He swam until another boat picked him up and saved his life.
他一直游著，知道別的船只把他救起來(lái)才撿回一條命。
