做我的朋友好嗎?
Cindy bean a job as an elementary school counselor and was eager to help the students.
辛迪開(kāi)始在一所小學(xué)做輔導(dǎo)老師,她急切地想要為學(xué)生們提供幫助。
One day during recess, she noticed a girl standingby herself on one side of a playing field while therest of the kids enjoyed a game of soccer at the other.
一天課間休息時(shí),她注意到一個(gè)女生獨(dú)自一人站在操場(chǎng)的一邊,其他孩子們都在操場(chǎng)的另一邊踢足球。
Cindy approached and asked the girl if she was all right.
辛迪走上去問(wèn)那女孩還好嗎。
The girl said she was.
女孩說(shuō)沒(méi)問(wèn)題。
A little while later, however, Cindy noticed that the girl was in the same spot, still by herself.
可是,過(guò)了一會(huì)兒,辛迪看到女孩還是一個(gè)人站在原地沒(méi)動(dòng)。
Approaching again, Cindy offered, "Would you like me to be your friend?"
于是她又走過(guò)去問(wèn)道:“讓我做你的朋友好嗎?”
The girl hesitated then said, "Okay," looking at the woman suspiciously.
女孩猶豫了一下,說(shuō):“好吧。”可還是懷疑地看著辛迪。
Feeling that she was making progress, Cindy then asked, "Why are you standing here allalone?"
覺(jué)得自己的努力取得了些進(jìn)展,辛迪繼續(xù)問(wèn)道:“你為什么一個(gè)人站在這里?”
"Because," the little girl said with great exasperation, "I'm the goalie!"
女孩生氣地答道:“因?yàn)槲沂鞘亻T(mén)員!”
