Christmas Eve

Linda： Merry Christmas!

Joan： Merry Christmas！Hey，what plans do you have for this special day?

Linda： No special plans．I'll have supper with my boyfriend and go shopping．How about you?

Joan： First，I'm going to get ready for the parade ．I have a great costume．Then later today，I'm going to church ．If you want，I can give you a costume and you can be in the parade，too．It'll be fun．You should come．Would you like to come?

Linda： Sure！Why not? It sounds like fun．Why are you going to church?

Joan： Lots of people，especially seniors，like to go to church and attend the evening service．But I love singing Xmas carols in church.

Linda： It seems to be so much Xmas history．It's interesting to see how the culture of Xmas has changed over the years.

Joan： I suppose that it will continue to change．But the traditional activities will never change.

Linda： I still believed that Santa Claus will come from North Pole with his reindeer and put my gifts in the stocking ，when I was 10 years old.

Joan： Ha-ha.

琳達： 圣誕快樂！

瓊： 圣誕快樂！喂，這么特別的日子，你打算怎么過?。?/p>

琳達： 也沒什么特別打算。和我男朋友一起吃頓飯，然后去逛街吧。你呢？

瓊： 首先，我得為今天的花車游行做準(zhǔn)備。我有一身很漂亮的節(jié)日服裝呢。稍后，我會去教堂。如果你愿意的話，我可以給你一身節(jié)日服裝，這樣你就能加入到游行的隊伍里了。這非常有意思的，你應(yīng)該來。你們要不要來？

琳達： 好的，干嘛不去呢？聽起來蠻有趣的。那你為什么要去教堂呢？

瓊： 很多人尤其是那些長者，都喜歡去教堂參加晚禱。但是我愛唱圣誕頌歌。

琳達： 看起來圣誕節(jié)的歷史很多?？吹绞フQ節(jié)文化如何隨著時光的推移而發(fā)生改變很有趣。

瓊： 我覺得它還會繼續(xù)發(fā)生變化。但是傳統(tǒng)的活動不會有任何變化。

琳達： 直到我10歲的時候，還相信圣誕老人會和他的馴鹿從北極來，將我的禮物放到襪子里呢！

瓊： 哈哈。
