110. Film-goers and TV-watchers
As can be seen from the graph, during the period from 1976-1985, there was a sharp drop in the number of people who would like to go to the cinema. However, TV-watchers are rapidly on the rise.
Many factors have led to the sharp contrast between film-goers and TV-watchers. First of all, with the development of the economy, people have more money. Most families can afford at least one TV set at home, so people have more chance to watch TV. On the other hand, it is becoming more and more expensive for people to go to the cinema. Therefore, many people choose to stay at home instead of going to see a movie.
But there are still some people who prefer to go to the cinema to see films, for they think they can enjoy better visual effects in the cinema and what's more, they can share the happy moment with their loved ones.
