我得請(qǐng)示上級(jí)。

ask the top kick 是起源于美國(guó)軍隊(duì)的一條俚語(yǔ)，top kick同first sergeant，在美國(guó)俚語(yǔ)中指：“軍士長(zhǎng)”，那么這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的意思也就是：“請(qǐng)示軍士長(zhǎng)”，引申為：“請(qǐng)示領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，請(qǐng)示上級(jí)”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"I have to ask the top kick."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"I can't make the decisions, and I have to ask my superior."、"I shall ask the leader for instructions."。
