I hope your idea takes wings.
希望你的想法能夠成真。
take wings 直譯就是：“插上翅膀”，漢語中也有為夢想插上翅膀這樣的表達，意思是放飛自己的夢想，因為插上翅膀夢想就可以起飛翱翔了。所以這個習(xí)語的正確意思是：“起飛，成為現(xiàn)實”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"I hope your idea takes wings."時，他/她要表達的意思就是:"I hope your idea will be fulfilled."、"I hope your dream will come true."。
