　　在這個(gè)句子里，for fear that起到連詞的作用，引導(dǎo)一個(gè)目的狀語(yǔ)從句。連詞的作用就是起到連接的作用，可以連接詞與詞或句與句，它只是個(gè)虛詞，不能擔(dān)任句子成分。連詞為數(shù)雖然不多，卻很重要，有很多從句都由它來(lái)引導(dǎo)，例如主語(yǔ)從句、賓語(yǔ)從句、狀語(yǔ)從句以及同位語(yǔ)從句等。從屬連詞引導(dǎo)從句，并列連詞連接互不依從的詞、短語(yǔ)或分句。
