　　<語法分析>

　　這個句子是屬于表示存在的句型。其最簡單的結(jié)構(gòu)模式可以表示為：There+be+名詞性詞組+地點(diǎn)狀語+時間狀語。以there作句子的形式主語或引導(dǎo)詞，動詞后面是真正的主語，通常由be或其他表示“存在”意義的動詞來作為句子的謂語動詞。如果地點(diǎn)狀語置于句首，其引導(dǎo)詞“there”可以省略。該用法是為了平衡整個句子，亦可起到強(qiáng)調(diào)狀語的作用。所以，這個句子可以還原為:On a hill(there) sits a famous town.
