第十四章 介詞 against 和along 的用法

　　1. against:

　　1)反對(有較活的譯法)：

　　They fought bravely against the aggressors.

　　他們和侵略者做了英勇的斗爭。

　　We are not prejudiced against you.

　　我們對你沒有偏見。

　　No one has got anything against you.

　　沒人對你有意見。

　　2)靠著：

　　The dresser could go against wall.

　　梳妝盒可以靠槍。

　　He leaned against the railing.

　　他靠著欄桿站著。

　　3)用于某些成語：

　　Guard against arrogance.

　　力戒驕傲。

　　Jack played against Tom.

　　杰克和湯姆賽。

　　(Is) Anybody against it?

　　有誰反對嗎?

　　It's against the rule.

　　這是違反規(guī)定的。

　　We couldn't keep them here against their will.

　　我們不能違反他們的意愿，強留他們在這里。

　　2. along:

　　l)沿著：

　　They strolled away together along Peace Road.

　　他們一道沿著和平路走去。

　　The areas along these railways are rich in natural resources.

　　這幾條鐵路沿線地區(qū)自然資源豐富。

　　There was some dangerous places along the river.

　　沿這條河有一些危險的地段。

　　2)在(一條線)上(旁邊)：

　　There is a restaurant along this street.

　　這條街上有一家餐館。

　　The county lies along the Fuchun River.

　　這個縣位于富春江畔。

　　3)用于引申意義：

　　She thought more and more along that line.

　　她越來越沿著這個思路思考。

　　Here are a few suggestions along this line.

　　這兒有幾個沿這條思路想的建議。
