Applying for a job

尋求工作

Joe : Good morning. My name is Joe Smith. I’ve learnt there’s a vacancy for a sales executive in your company.

喬伊：早上好，我叫喬伊史密斯。我了解到貴公司招一名銷售主管。

HR : That’s right Mr. Smith. We are looking for an experienced sales person.

人力資源：是的，史密斯先生，我們在招一名有經(jīng)驗的銷售人員。

Joe : Sounds good. I have got 4 years of sales experience.

喬伊：聽起來很不錯，我有四年的銷售經(jīng)驗。

HR : Great! What sort of products have you sold?

人力資源：太棒了!你原來銷售什么產(chǎn)品?

Joe : Well, I’ve mostly worked in the tech industry. I’ve sold computers.

喬伊：這個，我主要工作是銷售科技產(chǎn)品，我賣過電腦。

HR : That’s great! In that case I’d request you to come over for an interview.

人力資源：太棒了，這樣的話我希望你來參加面試。

Joe : Sure. I can do that. Can you tell me when to come?

喬伊：當(dāng)然，我可以。你可以告訴我時間嗎?

HR : What about this Wednesday 5 PM?

人力資源：本周三下午5點怎么樣?

Joe : Okay. I’ll be there at 5.

喬伊：好的，我會在下午五點到的。

Calling a Candidate

HR : Hello. Is that Mr. Mark Anderson?

人力資源：你好，你是馬克安德森先生嗎?

Mark : Yes. What can I do for you?

馬克：是的，有什么事嗎?

HR : I am calling from Market Corp. You’ve applied for a job with us. We received your resume in email.

人力資源：這里是CORP商場，你向我們公司申請了一份工作。我們收到了你的簡歷郵件。

Mark : Oh yes! I am interested in your vacancy for computer programmer.

馬克：哦，是的!我對計算機(jī)程序員的空缺感興趣。

HR : Excellent! I saw your resume, it is very interesting. Can you come in for a personal interview?

人力資源：太棒了，我看到你的簡歷了，非常有趣。你可以來做一個面試嗎?

Mark : Of course I can! When do you need me there?

馬克：當(dāng)然可以!需要我什么時候到那里?

HR : If you can come on the 5th of this month, I will set up an appointment with our section head.

人力資源：如果你可以在這個月五號來的話，我會和我們部門主管約定面試的。

Mark : No problems. I can come on 5th.

馬克：沒問題，我可以五號來。

HR : Great! See you at 11 AM then.

人力資源：好的額，那上午11點見。

Mark : Sure!

Discussing Prospects

Joe : Hey Mark! How’s the job hunt going?

喬伊：嘿，馬克!工作找得怎么樣了?

Mark : Hey Joe! Well, I have an interview lined up on the 5th.

馬克：嘿，喬伊!這樣的，我五號有一個面試。

Joe : That sounds exciting. Which company?

喬伊：太讓人激動了，那家公司?

Mark : Well, it’s an ERP company.

馬克：是一家企業(yè)資源規(guī)劃公司。

Joe : Wow! What’s the profile you’ve applied for?

喬伊：哇哦，你應(yīng)聘那個職位?

Mark : I’ve applied for Project Manager.

馬克：我應(yīng)聘專案經(jīng)理。

Joe : I am sure you will get it.

喬伊：我相信你可以得到這個工作。

Mark : I hope so too. It looks like a great job!

馬克：我也希望是這樣，看起來是一份很好的工作。

Call for confirming hire

HR : Good morning, may I speak with Mr. Joe Smith?

Joe : Yes, speaking.

HR : Mr. Smith, this is Martha from Market People.

Joe : Oh, hello. Good to hear from you.

HR : Well, congratulations, because you’ve been selected for the job you interviewed for.

人力資源部：是這樣的，恭喜你，你得到了所應(yīng)聘的職位。

Joe : Wow! That’s great! I am sure I will love working for this company.

喬伊：哇哦。太棒了!我相信我會喜歡在這所公司工作的。

HR : I hope so too. Could you come on the 12th of this month for the orientation?

人力資源：我也希望。你可以在這個月十二號來定向嗎?

Joe : Yes, sure.

喬伊：沒問題。

Rescheduling interview

調(diào)整面試時間

HR : Hello, may I speak to Mr. Mark Anderson?

人力資源：你好，請讓馬克安德魯先生接電話。

Mark: Yes, Mark speaking.

馬克：好的，我是馬克。

HR : I am calling from Market Corp. You have an interview scheduled with us for the 5th

人力資源：我是Corp商場，您和我們這個月五號有一個面試。

Mark : Yes I know. I will be there as required.

馬克：我知道，我會準(zhǔn)時到達(dá)的。

HR : Well, I am sorry but we need to shift it to the 6th. You see the person who is supposed to interview you will be out of town.

人力資源：是這樣的，我很抱歉面試可能要推遲到6號。面試人員5號不在本地。

Mark : Hmm.. That’s okay. What time on the 6th then?

馬克：呃……好的，那六號的什么時間?

HR : 11 AM. I am really sorry we have to reschedule this.

人力資源：上午十一點，非常抱歉調(diào)整時間。

Mark : No problems. I understand.

馬克：沒問題，我理解。
