哈弗大學(xué)教授約翰?帕爾弗里近日在臺(tái)北就青年、當(dāng)代媒體、數(shù)位時(shí)代和父母對(duì)子女的教育等問(wèn)題發(fā)表講話。我用心閱讀了關(guān)于他演講的新聞。帕爾弗里說(shuō)道,總是由家長(zhǎng)和學(xué)校來(lái)決定孩子應(yīng)該朝哪項(xiàng)技能方面發(fā)展——反應(yīng)能力,辯論能力或是分析能力。數(shù)字內(nèi)容是個(gè)能實(shí)現(xiàn)這些目標(biāo)的強(qiáng)大工具。

One deficiency from which I feel many college students suffer these days is in self-knowledge and an understanding of how their words and actions affect others. That may beanother way to speak of "EQ," or "emotional quotient."
我能體會(huì)到當(dāng)今許多大學(xué)生在自我認(rèn)知和覺(jué)察自己的言行對(duì)別人的影響方面很匱乏。換句話說(shuō),就是“EQ”,或者“情商”低。
"IQ" designates a student's ability to grasp and express ideas and to know how to putknowledge to good use, so it follows that EQ points to people's understanding of themselves andtheir impact on those around them.
“IQ”代表的是學(xué)生領(lǐng)會(huì)和表達(dá)觀點(diǎn)的能力,知道怎么學(xué)以致用的能力,因此EQ則是指人們對(duì)自身,及自己對(duì)周圍人的影響的理解能力。
I sometimes wonder if too many of our young friends are overly computer literate, even asthey are starving inwardly from loneliness and alienation. How many college students inTaiwan are more adept at Internet use and software than they are at human relationships? Toomany, I am afraid.
我時(shí)常在想,是不是我們?cè)S多年輕朋友過(guò)于精通電腦文化,甚至他們的饑餓感是來(lái)自于孤獨(dú)和寂寞。有多少臺(tái)灣大學(xué)生對(duì)于互聯(lián)網(wǎng)和軟件的使用越來(lái)越熟練,卻日漸疏于人際關(guān)系呢?恐怕有很多。
