Don: We'll talking about a study on smell?
Yale: No,I smell something like perfume orairfresher.
Don: Oh! You've probably smelled a fragrantcandle light there before we got start it. The scentis called green dragon. I have no idea what thatmeans, but I kind don't like it.
Yale: Well, you can have to put it out.
Don: Why? The year got so stuffy and stay of the studio I thought it would be nice to light upthings a little.
Yale: But that's just it, Don, there's no ventilation in here and the fumes comming from thatcandle are toxic.
Don: What are you talking about?
Yale: Most fragrant wax candles are made from paraffin, which is a by product of petroleum.According to one study, burning paraffin candles emits toxins—a little like burning gasolineindoors.
Don: Hold on. You are saying that my little sady candle is poisoning us?
Yale: No. Burning a paraffin candle once in a while is OK because it's only emitting a smallamount of toxins. But it still pollutes the air. It's when you light a lot of candles all the timethat you run into bigger problems that can make you sick. So if you're really into candles, it'sbetter to use ones made from soy beeswax.
Don: Fine. So, do I still need to put out the candle?
Yale: Pretty please.
Don: No problem.
